The Night Sky

It is something about the night sky 
that reminds me why I love this life
In the depths of the darkness you can find
light that shines higher than any Earthly high
like no matter how much I mentally try to climb
I'll always be able to elevate higher if I tried
in the silence of the night sky, I'll always fly

In the silence of the night I can always find 
why there's always a reason to just unwind 
let the world slow it's steady moving grind
as I now intertwine my mind with the light
above this world where we fight for our lives
let me escape the physical confines to delight 
in a moment where only the most high will suffice

It is something about the darkness in the night
that sparks an artist to unload their lyrical might
I have no holds as my eyes behold it all in sight
the darkness of the night I dance in the spotlight 
Each thought  more clear in each corner of my mind
it's like I don't even remember the concept of "time"
look in the darkness and you'll find me basking the sky

In the darkness of a silent moonlit night 
look into deepest recesses of your conscious mind
you'll find the essence for eternal life illuminated by light
surrounded by what seems to be hard to first realize
but with time as you slowly unwind with these poetic lines 
remember to look into the darkness of the night sky
open your mind and imagine what next the sky will publicize
through the power of a universe full of starry delights
take a trip to brand new heights in the silence of the night sky...

My Conscious Mind

A lot of what the world told me in my youth
Never really made much sense to me in truth.
Even as a teen I was thinking more poetically
yet it seems the price paid for consciously thinking
was dying physically for awakening more spiritually.
So many have died for simply opening their minds eye.
It seems as long as I continue paying taxes with my 9 to 5,
no one would dare extract death taking the breath from my life.
The world is full of "normality" yet images on any TV screen 
will reveal a world in full on calamity, breaking at the seams.
Girls want to be Barbies and men want to be thugs.
Trapped in a world of materialism; lost & absent of love.
Parents pay the price to give their children better lives
only to simply be too tired to give them any real useful advice.
The foundation in our homes are as broken as old cold war stones.
Gone is the structure needed to season the future, our youth.
What could a president ever really do for me when his election 
is funded by people who don't want to see me live FREE.
Trapped in a maze called opportunity the "American Dream" is slavery.
In truth, all power is invested in my very own physical being.
So when I hear the promise of change and people watch and believe 
I wonder how far deranged this society has really became.
We search for fortune and fame stuck in this game called reality.
Acquiring a diploma is less of a necessity as being able purchase an AR-15.
By sixteen many youth don't even know the world Politically. 
Is Africa a country or a continent? 
"Who cares as long as I got money in my pocket" .
Our government only supports enlightenment if it's for profit 
while NASA doesn't even have funding for their maned shuttle rockets.
And our teachers watch as our public schools continue rotting
Still we expect our children to succeed when education is based on passing.
We care little to stop and think instead hatred is a much  
more efficient way to be in this cold world of lost hopes & dreams
Our Military can't promise we'll remain free with any amount of weaponry 
that is reserved for those with the positive mentality to wake up and believe.
Most don't even see that everything is made up of pure energy 
and our dreams are what power this world we see spinning.
Ask yourself what is Gravity? Don't die another mental casualty.  
Currency can't be measured by green paper; it can't make you happy.
And the truth is most dead presidents never gave a fuck about me. 
In God we trust is on every bill I see yet I can't find any stability.
And when I begin to sleep at night or when I look to darkness of the sky
I never require any Religion mankind has designed as my way 
to decide why I love this Universe with all my Heart and Mind.
I ask where do many of our thoughts really reside
Most will reply you can find it when Apple decides 
to release a new version of the iPhone 5.
We consume ourselves towards our own virtual doom.
And in the end, we have no more reason to question why
the world is in great peril and hopelessness looms in the sky
While our hearts and minds are marooned when time isn't on our side.
Most will simply decided to wait until God would simply arise.
Yet I feel a greater power high endowed me with a conscious mind
So I use the Present as my Present to decide how I live my life.

Judge Me Not

Witness these words that emerge 
judge me not by what you've heard
Label me a poet and nothing more 
adore what you explore as you continue
to journey through my mental corridors 
Judge me not for the color of my skin
that simply would be of pure ignorance 
yet so many times I've been labeled... other 
other than what I am in my own distinction
I am a featureless being embodied physically
Judge me not by the flesh of my surface 
I serve a greater purpose in this universe 
Witness these words that have emerged
from my bleeding pen merged into existence
Judge me base on my persistence to elevate this maze
through consciousness I levitate like I had no weight
witness me as I escape to new locations alive 
Judge me not for how I lived my rough & rugged life
Look me in the eyes and witness what I realize 
Like a weapon I use my mind to break the confines 
with the use of my poet lines, I break all that bind
My hands are possessed to stress the limits of the alphabet 
so judge me not based simply on the currency in my wallet
I am rich with the gift of poetic greatness in my possession
Judge me not based simply on the physical; the countless 
flaws of my flesh & bone but the true grander of my soul

Mesmerize

A man like me is simply hard to reach
I preach words that creep deep into your psyche
Can you mesmerize me with your exquisite beauty?
I'm elevated by design look deep in between my lines
to find what resides otherwise out of sight, out of mind
Light my heart like a candle and i'll remain throughout the night
I might just be there at your side by surprise but once you 
look me into the eyes, i'll be there in your dreams until daylight

A man like me can't be touched by any hand physically
simply call upon me consciously like I was really a Genie
I'll carry your soul like a chariot high with time, you are sublime
Is it a crime to use what's mine to mesmerize your mind?
I use this lyrical art to mark the page with my steel bleeding 
poetry; I feel what most won't even reveal because i'm real 
never to be killed because my atoms are made more eternal

A man like me isn't easy to meet because I creep stealth fully
with my image beneath the surface for I am deeply in tune with poetry
I provoke thoughts that Bill Nye couldn't teach with ease
Simply bring your exquisite beauty to the stage and i'll unlock
what will cover you from the rain, feel no pain, I am rain man.
watch as I expand on the canvas of life like a spider
casting it's web through the night mesmerizing all by surprise

A man like me is hard to find because the clues most use
won't suffice when searching for the truth in my life 
Can you bring color to my eyes and take me to new heights? 
Alive, Alive, It is almost as if I've died long ago now 
I bring stories never told to your very soul provoking growth
I won't be replicated for I am formed by materials that predated
anything this world has excavated from any ancient site
I tell you this again to cement this in the depth of your mind 
A man like me is simply hard to design because i'm made
from poetic lines not found in the fabric of space time 
research my birth and you'll find evidence of my hearse 
Resurrected by a curse to rehearse my first breath on this Earth
A man like me isn't unique but the tools I use are simply Mesmerizing...

It was only a dream

No problems in view as I soar outta sight

Glistening as I continue reminiscing on my past
I want to smile as I glance into infinity true reality

I want true friends the likes of which don’t require
high finances in my wallet to validate accompaniment
I want to live above the clouds all a while drawing
My lyrics into reality as I dream of better ways to live
I never want to worry about tomorrows hardships
Today is a celebration and I’ m to in ecstasy to worry about bullshit
All I wanna do is party and bullshit as I stay blunted
no more lies from politicians that never cared about
the poor no more schemes to get paid as we work lost in a daze
I want live forever in one day while everyone screams my name

While we dance until sunrise then return to the sky

I am forever striving for money that doesn't promise a thing.
But another bill to pay another enemy to shake and

Who is it that you love?

Is it the words I bring

Or is it the fact that I see

But is it me that you love

When you look within my being
Who is it that you love

the morning brings A new beginning
Yet still I’m there same as before
I ask who is it that you adore
If not me then must it be my poetry?
If not my poetry then what
Is it that you see within me
 who is it that you love?
Is it my smile on my face
or my presence as i grace
you with words I've laced with love
Or is it the pain I've embraced
Only to erase a clean slate I create
To take us away to a whole new page
but Who is it that you love
when it is not I that shapes

Into the Night

Into the night I dream
Into the night I rest in peace
For it is in the night I am far
From this cold & crazy reality 
Slowly draining all my energy as I am
Amongst the calamity of the busy bee’s

Where I require no eyes to see the sky
Into the night; I am on cloud nine
Feeling passion words cannot describe
Into the night I am forever & ever more
Into the night I remain what I was before 
Into the night to open the doors
To my dreams and explore the night
Lit solely by the light of the moon
Fear not the darkness for the sun
Will once again return soon
To reclaim the sky to light the darkness
Until then, that glorious moment
Into the night I go once again....

The Road Not Yet Traveled

The road least traveled on
Is the same road I've known for so long
The road which few have ever known; I stay close
Within its vicinity far from the reaches
Of the masses that preach conformity
I travel the road least seen by any
Yet the scenery is something to witnessed
I often wonder how any could have missed this
Never could it be replicated, recreated, or reevaluated
The road I travel is situated in a more divine realm
Perfection is the one and only definition required to define
For not even the greatest of eyes could ever
bring to light, a better definition to describe
The road I travel on by day as I contemplate by night
I journey this road alone, going deeper into the unknown
I travel the road far too many have passed on
I stay within this zone to bask in what has yet to be shown
My friends and even my enemies tell me to come home
But I've traveled this road for far too long to return
As I yearn for company, I realize that I will forever remain three
Me, myself, and I forever by my side as I travel on
The road not many have ever known….

Somewhere my soul died in the sands of time
Right now I crumble right before your very eyes
To your very surprise as you once thought
Nothing could ever take the might that lifted us high
What we knew once before is now a closed door
In the halls of eternal existence in this reality
What was once real is now only a dream past long ago
As time slowly erodes what we once thought we knew before
What we once thought we could easily hold is now
seemingly impossible to possess without a few sacrifices
now I guess we’ll need to get used to A few new changes
as the world spins I see no needed changes only more desperation
 as I grow sicker with the years’ time slowly
erodes all the many obstacles to make it all clear
as you erase away with that smile on your face
all the past tears from my cheeks now all you see
Is a battle hardened version of who I used to be
Do you remember what I used to say throughout those cloudy days
Nothing ever changes only a new experience to place on our resume
Yet cold are the days it seems things can’t get much worser
I grow closer to my end and yet with every new breath I take
God blesses me with the chance to begin once again, a brighter day
In this life of sin, the only thing we are ever promised is death
So until the end we stick together through thick & thin
Now lord take me away for I am weary from this challenging place
Somewhere my soul died today only to be resurrected,
No more pain, no more time, it was all only in our minds.
Now we climb to a higher plateau never known before

We bleed through similar veins
Through similar strains of the same blood line
The stains from the pain as we tried to find
A semblance of peace in these wicket streets
 a truth written within the lies they speak
searching for paradise away from the strife
unseen is the soul hidden within the flesh and bones
the pinnacle of our perfection are our lyrics
forever hidden from the light
in the darkness we weep only
to rise like optimus prime, we shine
like we are posed by the divine
our weapon more lethal than any Nine
with one mind in place we set to create a masterpiece
that can’t be overlooked by even the blind
some call us a poet, some call us a friend
but in the end you may label me a student
and my partner the mighty pen 
in this hard knock life many lessons learned
hearts broken and many dreams burned
yearning for a better way to recover from the pain

We breathe with similar breaths
We step to a similar beat
unique is our mind, deep are our dreams
We live like there is a tomorrow
Because today can't be all that we see
Visualizing the unseen with every written line
Defining who we are with the lyrical art
All I need in this life of sin Is me and my pen
We are the definition of Lyrical expression
We are the light to the darkness
Sparking the passion lying dormant
Creating lyrical recipes like we 
 are George Foreman on a grill
lyrical nourishing your appetite the better we write
when you look at me tell what it is you see?
if all you see is me, then you've not witnessed

The Poet & The Pen [Part III]

The stories we've told both young and old 

inspired by the feelings we hold in pen & bones

from the inner depths of my soul I expose on the page

the words we've merged together by the blood of ink

submerged in conscious thought representing poetry

the poet & the pen, the true existence not readily witnessed

through thick & thin, we've remain the best of friends 

merging that which comes from deep within to the surface 

and to a further extent the ink of my pen then publication 

Never a need for any vacation to any city or nation 

by way of the mind I take a trip through the inner confines

to find what elevates my state of mind into a elevated lullaby 

rhythmic movements that stroke the pen to extrude 

dark protrusions on the page as we create poetic solutions 

no, I am not human, I am simply an illusion and with this pen

I am a Poetic God...

Now watch as I work my magic like I were the wizard of Oz 

Brilliant, my possession never to be taken by any thief

granted were these feeling in me to share with only my ink 

now witness poetry inspired like a fire burning violently 

sparked by the drum beat of a ancient entity dancing methodically

We feed off the passion of emotion, we lust for words everlasting

poetic rhymes that aligned in our mind to the vibe of feelings that arise

my flesh is a temple, my art is the pen and poetry is our eternal religion 

like an escaped mental patient who cannot be captured only traced

not replicated are my letters authentic are these words that have emerged

through creative urges expressed with great courage without a weapon

in hand I command with persistence a partner who isn't resistant

together in true unison, we are married together until the very end

What Can Define

Beautiful isn't quite the word when I search
my entire heart and mind when emotions emerge 
Beautiful can't quite describe why I lay awake at night
my attempts to define fall short when I witness you alive
Beautiful wouldn't be true if I had a chance to label you
Shake my core with your love and I will continue to adore
your every curvature like I was a sculptor inspired by your features
Beautiful wouldn't quite describe what I witness in my eyes
Like a new form of high, I remain addicted to your prescription
Beautiful I testify to all who listen to the words I use in my description 
passions flowing like the river of life as I sail upon it at midnight
using the moonlight as my guide; Illuminate my mind like a candlelight 
Beautiful wasn't meant to define only to describe the feelings that arise 
Kiss me back to life so I can rise like the phoenix in the sky until my 
untimely demise where I'll crash to the surface where I'll die
resurrect me with your ultimate beauty before I begin to flat line
Beautiful like a one of a kind; fine wine not yet eroded by time
Beautiful like I was blind yet had the ability to see what God co-signed
Beautiful like a redundant statement when all eyes are fully aware of your creation
Beautiful isn't quite the statement yet I purge words that submerge into your mind
As if I were possessed the divine to submit each & every line on paper 
until a poem would arise then I would publicize a story that could define
By the end, only beauty would be found in the depths of your eyes.
